Name: | Marguerite Blakeney |

Location: | (states/regions/territories) |
I remember someone who hungered for the glory,
But it seems... she's gone...
As a young actress, Marguerite St. Just held all of Europe in her thrall, surrounding herself with the greatest wits of the age. Quite how this bohemian, fashionable clever set came to include Sir Percy Blakeney Bart., the richest (and by all accounts most foolish) man in England never became quite clear.
What has always been clear is how much Sir Percy adored Mlle St. Just, and his complete devotion charmed her so much that she consented to be his wife, despite the obvious disparity in their intellects. Now, in 1792, the celebrated French Actress is the centre of English Society: - the cleverest woman in Europe happily the most fashionable woman in England, while her home country tears itself apart.
------------
Marguerite is tall only by the standards of her time, with auburn hair and the slightest hint of a French accent in her spoken English. She may be the cleverest woman in Europe, but nevertheless she is completely human and very much alive.
Hurl it into her renegade heart
That the best of our dreams fell apart
Marguerite Blakeney is from The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy and is in the Public Domain. This is a roleplaying journal from which no profit is being made.
